Anyone who loves the beautiful game will be well aware of where they were on May 25th 2005, regardless of their footballing allegiance; it was a game after which the phrase “you could make a movie out of this” was uttered endlessly by pundits around the world. Now, their prophetic clichés are about to be realised in director Ellen Parry’s directorial debut Will. Starring Damien Lewis, Bob Hoskins and Alice Krige, the story follows eleven-year-old Will Brennan’s (Perry Eggleton), whose life is turned upside down when his long-absent father (Damian Lewis) reappears with tickets to the 2005 Champions League Final in Istanbul. However, when fate intervenes, Will runs away to Istanbul for the biggest football match of the year, searching for meaning in a world that seems to have abandoned him. Will will be released 21st October 2011.
